...did ya see...

...this?  That's my Spectral!  Stephanie knit one for her daughter out of a Fiber Optic Paintbox Gradient kit and it's beautiful!  I am beyond excited about this!  Oh and this...

That's Spectral at #3 on Ravelry!  I totally missed it when it was #1, but Marcy texted me to let me know.  I can't even tell you how excited I am about how well Spectral is doing!  Think you might want to knit one?  Well, Miss Babs will have the yarn in kits very soon!  Her yarn is gorgeous and if you have never knit with it (where have you been and what have you been knitting with?), you need to make one with her beautiful stuff.

You should also check out the gorgeous gradient kits from Black Trillium Fibres.  Melanie has lovely kits that would work beautifully for it.  And you might want to get yourself an extra kit...I have another pattern that should be out in the next couple of days that is designed with one of Melanie's gradient kits and here's a sneak peak...

I'm so thankful to everyone that has purchased the pattern and I can't wait to see all of the different Spectrals that will be out there!  If you'd like to purchase the pattern you can do it here

...Just the beginning...

For the past few days I've been in New England, visiting my BFF, Marcy and her family. We've been doing all the things one does in a family with 4 kids:  making crockpot dinners, driving carpools, watching football games, doing homework.  You see how it is, all good stuff. I have to admit that this sort of thing really takes me back.

I've also been treated to the beautiful fall colors.  We have gorgeous colors at home, but they've got nothing on New England.
And fall is definitely coming.

Our next stop?  Rhinebeck and the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. First order of business there? Three words:  MAPLE COTTON CANDY.   Stand by...

...Spectral...

spec·tral adjective \ˈspek-trəl\ : of, relating to, or made by a spectrum.

Spectral is worked in an all over textured pattern that perfectly highlights the spectrum of any gradient yarn.  I designed it using Miss Babs Yummy Toes yarn in gradient colors from a dark mushroom to a light taupe.  The colors flow from one to another and are rich and beautiful.

Worked in the round in an easy to memorize stitch pattern, Spectral is a great take along project!  The finished measurements lend it to wearing long, tucked inside a coat or wrapped double around your neck for a bit more warmth.  You’ll want more than one!  Spectral will be making it's debut at Rhinebeck next weekend.  If you're looking for this gorgeous yarn, stop by and see Miss Babs.  She'll have the sample, the yarn (of course) in kits and the pattern!

...when you're little...

you love to swing,
 and slide,

look for frogs,

and climb,

hold hands,

and ride on a pig train.
You're not crazy about having your picture taken,
but you do love to feed goats,
slide in the hay maze,
 and laugh.
But what you love best is sharing and hanging out with your sister.
